Ukhrul’s Royal Gymnasium added yet another feather in its cap as one of its athletes Saratlunminthang Touthang from Moreh town has been selected for two upcoming national events, the All India Inter University Championship 2023 and Jr. Mr. India 2023.
The All India Inter University Championship will be held in Karnataka in February, while the Jr. Mr. India will be held in Madhya Pradesh in March.
Touthang had to put in a lot of hard work to get where he is today. He will be representing the state in the above 75 kg category in the two upcoming events. He has been training hard for these competitions and is determined to win. His previous experience in similar tournaments will be an asset for him.
He received training from renowned coach Robert Leishangthem at the Royal Gymnasium in Ukhrul town since 2021. His coach Robert has played a pivotal role in his success.
Touthang is the second athlete from Manipur to compete in the All India Inter-University Championship after his coach Robert who took part in the contest back in 2004 and 2005. This is a feather in the cap for both Touthang and Robert.
The Body Builders Associations of Ukhrul and Moreh units have offered congratulations to Touthang on his selection and extended their best wishes to Touthang for his upcoming competitions.
The Ukhrul and Moreh units of the Body Builders Association of Manipur have also thanked National Judge Dhruba and International Judge Kishan for their support and guidance as Coach/Manager.
